Selection Guide
|
|
This Selection Guide steps are:
1. Learning about your motors
by
a.
Manufacturer model number, OR
b. Continuous running current ratings
under your average mechanical load at a known voltage, OR
c.
Armature resistance from "D" cell test
2. Total motors per robot
a. Two - one
motor per side
b. Four - two
motors per side
1. Each pair wired in series
2. Each pair wired in parallel
c. Six - three
motors per side
3. Tell us your intended motor
operating voltage which may be higher than specs to push competitive
performance.
We then
translate that into battery voltage considering Series vs Parallel wiring,
and suggested speed control.
